Playing a Gringott's Goblin in Strange Magic: The JK Rowling Story

February 20, 2011

There are no small roles just small actors playing small characters... LOL

I am beyond excited to be a part of this amazing story directed by one of my favourite directors of our time, Paul Kaufman.

This is a brilliant script and it has already been insane amounts of fun with all of the prosthetics and wardrobe fittings -- I haven't even been to set yet!

What a busy start to 2011!

A chance to play two wonderful character on two amazing series was a wonderful way to transition from 2010 to 2011.

Thank you to the cast and crews of both shows for making me feel like a member of the team even though I was only jumping in for an episode of each.

Top Vancouver Acting Schools Marry

It's a trashy tale: they met online!

Their mothers might think this story is a little sordid – after all... they did meet in a chat room.

Kirsten Clarkson and Michael Coleman owned of two of Vancouver's most prestigious acting schools: Schoolcreative and Shoreline Actors' Film & Television Studio (located at Shoreline Studios, one of the city's busiest casting facilities). They were both frequent visitors to www.vancouveractorsguide.com (an actors resource site). When they both started answering actor's questions with the same advice there was clearly a little magic in the air. Then they learned that they had common students. Their students kept saying, "You should meet each other. You're so alike." It was tempting but neither wanted to make the first move.

Their shared students persisted and through these students Michael and Kirsten became aware that they shared similar ethics and complimentary methods of instruction. They had much in common. Both of them care very much about actors and it is very important to them that their students always feel loved, supported and respected for their unique qualities and their brave, original performances.

They began to chat online and through conversation they realized that Schoolcreative's traditional approach and SAFTS results oriented intensive techniques would be an outstanding combination. They started to have coffee together in the real world. They realized that to merge the two schools would bring a lot to their students. They created VANCOUVER ACTING SCHOOL. Schoolcreative will continue to train teens and kids but adults will train at the shoreline casting facility which will house VANCOUVER ACTING SCHOOL. The new school will offer full time and part time classes.

Students from both schools have done very well. Many of their students have won awards and graduates have had leads and supporting roles on TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE, SMALLVILLE, WATCHMEN, HELLCATS, A-TEAM, PLANET OF THE APES, V, STARGATE (every damn one), VICTORIOUS, TOWER PREP, FRINGE, SANCTUARY, SUPERNATURAL, PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS, MEN IN TREES, I LOVE YOU BETH COOPER, STAN HELSING, TRIPLE DOG, TOOTHFAIRY, EUREKA, PCYCH, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN VIDEO GAME, CAPRICA, BEST PLAYER, PREPPED, THE TROOP, MEN WITH BROOMS and so many more.
